The essence of a mandala is the essence of the universe itself. Rooted in the Sanskrit word for “circle,” mandalas have long been used in Hindu and Buddhist traditions as a tool for meditation, reflection, and spiritual grounding — a theme that has appeared in my work for decades.
In my own practice, this simple circular form has captivated me. It has given me a place to focus, to breathe, and to reflect. Each piece is imbued with intentions of inclusivity, support, and harmony — a quiet offering created in moments when I needed respite from both my own internal chaos and the noise of the greater world.
The meticulous process, the fragility of the botanicals, and the presence required to bring them into balance create a pathway for release — a letting go that feels both exquisite and necessary.
